It's the cheapest radial option by a very wide margin- other brands tires around this price are all old school bias ply, that generally have less treadlife and a harsher ride.So far very impressed. It looks like a sportbike tire, and feels like one also. Sharper profile and the bike eagerly tips into corners. Radial helps with better ride quality and smooths out light jitters better than a bias. The tire also warms up very quickly, and maintains a fair bit of heat in it- much moreso than the Dunlop 404 or ME880 I've used previously, which being hard touring tires barely got warm to the touch. The Shinko is toasty warm even after some mild 55mph back road cruising, what I'd expect from a softer supersport tire, not a touring tire for large cruisers.Especially given the price, I'd have no problem recommending one of these. In general Shinko's are not the longest possible lasting options, but they are often quite grippy, so an easy pick if you like to dance with the Phat Lady. LessRyan revzilla.com
