I use it as an additional step for my RV entrance b/c when the jacks are down for leveling, there can be a big gap between the ground and the first step. This decreases that gap, making it easier to go in/out. It also makes it easier for my aging dog to manage the steps, but I had to put a rug on it b/c the gaps between slats caused my dogs to jump over it, defeating the purpose. Have needed it for a while but they're priced too high. Should be more like $40. 241416
